There is another blog/bbs site, that acts as a sourcebook for From the Shadows. You can find plenty of great material to use in your own campaign here, including: locations, maps, illustrations, NPCs, etc...
Went in to find a replacement diagnostic readout the other day. A lot of the stuff is knock-off drek, but some of it's high-quality knock-off drek.
Which means it's as good as the name brand, but cheaper in price. Just gotta be prepared to weed through a lot of stuff to find the goodies.
Oh, good suggestion, don't buy a cheap diagnostic tool. They break so easily. Ended up getting one at Weapon's World of all places, their Military Surplus discount rack.
Unless you're talking about something extra simple like a datajack, I'd stay away from brand-x headware. Even if the hardware works fine, you still have potentially glitchy and poorly documented firmware to wrangle with.
It's not the 'ware I'm worried about, it's the simple fact that I KNOW that some ignorant mook who only speaks english is going to go traipse home some day with his korean made datajack and give himself a nice dose of biofeedback when the dumbass tries to update it solo. Bottomline is, if you're poor enough where cheap headware is your only option, than I sincerely doubt you can afford to have a guy like me patch up your fraggin' nerve ganglions. Just don't come cryin' to me when your momma has to wipe the drool off your chin for the rest of your life.

I'd even be wary of just a datajack.
I know a guy who got a budget jack put in, and all of a sudden he started talking with a weird slur.
Whiners.
I had my wires done at this place, and they did a damn fine job. They've served me very well, thanks.
I know one of their suppliers- trust me- this is stuff is well handled between previous owner and the shelf

OK, had to head back to this place for a strange reason, yes, let's leave it at that.
And here's this gutterpunk checking out, I drek you not, a Cyberskull Upgrade.
