BREAKING NEWS - Successful attack on potential CrashCart Clinic

This is Trish Donaldson for WKSN News.

A series of attacks occurred in the southern portion of Auburn, near White River last night over a series of hours, ending with a collision with a heavy vehicle and a series of massive explosions that claimed the lives of 14 people, all of whom have yet to be identified.

Lone Star has stated that they are investigating the attack, and that their inability to respond was due to a failure in the 911 Emergency Response© system that was beyond their control. Lone Star's “Shadowriders” investigation team is heading up the search for those responsible, which opens the possibility that officials believe that it was performed by Shadowrunners.

Complaints of all varieties have been given about the lack of emergency services to the area all night long, and 911 Emergency Response© representatives have stated that their servers were hit with a DoS attack of a type they have never experienced before, and are suspecting that it was performed by a Technomancer. Deaths due to the lack of ambulance and police services has been estimated to be in the dozens, not including the deaths of those at the potential CrashCart site.

CrashCart Public Relations Officer, Igor Sandovich, has stated that they were still in negotiation with the current owners of the property, and had not taken control of the site for anything except for an emergency staging area for a series of ambulances, all of which were on duty during the attack. “As well, while 911 services in the area were offline, our emergency alert services were completely on-line and responding with the speed and quality of service that people expect from CrashCart. We can confirm a 100% success rate for emergency response, with eight clients whose lives were saved during the night in question.” he was quoted before closing off the press meeting.

A variety of terrorist and policlub groups have stepped forward to take claim for the attack, however, all have provided incorrect information and Lone Star is dismissing these claims as misinformation.

No one from the property holding company was willing to accept our calls, save for their law firm that has placed a gag order on the usage of their name in public record.

Well, this was completely expected.

OK, a few things:

First off, this was not, repeat, not, DocWagon. Something was being planned (Little birdies are such good sources of information!), but hadn't gotten off the ground yet.

Secondly: Oh great. The Shadowriders are back. For those that don't remember them from over a decade ago, they're a special group of Motorcycle Lone Star "Officers" and "Detectives" that specialize in "Dealing" with Shadowrunners and their associates. And, yes, that includes Mr. Johnsons.

Third: The Denial of Service attack was not a Technomancer, just a traditional Hacker with a new technique. Same birdy.

Finally: "Additional Security" (If you could call it that) were involved with the site, and were not hired by CrashCart, either (Different birdy this time.). Honestly, I don't know why they go with amature Johnsons when perfectly good ones like myself are never lacking for work.

The fragging Shadowriders are back? Is it the same crew as before?

Investigations are pending to that, Barrio. The Stockholders of Lone Star were not informed at the forming of this unit, and a number of them aren't happy in the least. It's not just in Seattle either, but in a number of other cities.
