Advertisement - Soypie

Here at Soypie, we know how you love the goodness of real soy textured product. That's why we've added more amino acids, carageenan, and colored it with only farm-like colorants. If you want real pie-like taste, come on over to the real flavor of Soypie. Soypie, the pie for any meal.

Can you Chummers say... "Soylent Green".

Believe me, Soypie is not made from people. It's a damn shame.

Whatever it is, its got to be better than an MRE.

Chun, you remind me of an old squadmember who pulled a joke on a very green lieutenant once... made a pseudo-heart out of gelatin with colored milk for blood, and he did some slight of hand to make it look like he'd cut it out the chest of a downed hostile. He took a huge bite when the CO walked up. I've never seen a troll vomit so much so fast. Good times. We were on drek-detail for days when he found out it was a trick that the whole squad was in on.

Reminds me of the time we in UCAS Basic I was given flag raising duty for morning stand-to for a month, and we had these really horrible brownies the night before, we rolled em into faux turds and put em out by the flagpole. Morning comes, and the Drill Sargeant of course starts yelling to get rid of these ass dumplings from his hallowed flag, so I reached down, said, "SIR YES SIR." and popped em in my mouth. I hated the subsequent 6000 pushups over the next couple days, but was worth it.

Not peopel?

Where did you get a real fruit pie? I heard you could get fruit on Council Island in restaurants, but not in Redmond.

Soypie. Probably the only thing even *I* won't eat.

You can get real food in some of the more prosperous growing areas of the UCAS, and border towns with same.

Seattle is badly placed for it. I suggest Winnipeg, or possibly Thunder Bay.

If you can get into the Algonkian-Manitou Council lands, then almost anywhere there you can get some fruit in the Southern part of it.

'Course, if you can get in there, just hit Calgary, and get a nice, juicy Buffalo or Beef Steak to go along with that Apple Pie.

It used to be much harder to get real fruit or meat for pies. I'd certainly know since I used to cook the real deal as a hobby. (Shocking, I know, that a troll could cook, let alone with skill.) Now its easier, if not any more affordable, to get any of it. Many thanks to the advent of mass cloning and arctic underground farms.

There is a vast difference, of course. You actually feel satiated and even feel a sense of well being after eating one. Its no wonder the concept of fat and jolly was common before the industrial revolution.

One advantage to growing up in an area that is being harvested for Magic Material, especially one that has lots of wild berries naturally growing.

Hard part was poaching them from the guards. ;-)

Farm-like colorants? What the frag is 'farm-like'? The truck that hauls the soy out is farm-like, so is the drek that comes out of farm animals! 'Farm-like'? I don't think I really want to know.

Can anyone tell me where i can get the originals of these, before they went over to all this psuedo-real drek. i like my synti-soy with added chem-flav.

its such a shame they took those self heating soydogs with mayo off the market. now that was a real dwarf's meal

Oh, I know, those self-heaters were great, and remember how the packaging could be used as an impromptu Plastiqe fuse? Those were the days.

You kids and your real food obsession. When I was mixing it up, we ate recycled cardboard in the shape of a hotdog made in the back alley of the Stuffer Shack and we LIKED IT! Spoiled and whining about it. Who needs "protein"?!? Who needs "nutrients"?!? They're all just a fallacy made up by The Man to keep us all down. Or... At least, that's what I read on the Matrix. It must be true!

I can't believe some of the stuff that gets sold over here, back home the real food and healthy eating movements are so much stronger. We still eat soy, but everyone can get real food too.

Honestly, folks, if you don't hunt or grow it yourself, you don't know what is in it at all.

Mmmmmmmmmmm, cold New Boar sandwiches. :-D
